Colon Hydrotherapy hydrates your colon and body to make your digestive system work better at improving your colon’s own peristalsis. This is like giving your bowel an internal gym workout.

At urBodi our nutritionist will help you choose the right detoxify program. It includes everything from food choices, environmental changes to deciding to have your first colonic for that deeper cleanse.

Nutritional therapy encompasses a broad range of options from changing one’s diet, detoxification, allergy elimination, and nutritional supplementation with vitamins and minerals.

Why detox, do I need to detox?

Every day we expect our bodies to cope with toxins, we are told by many reputable media sources that our body can cope with these toxins! "The Liver is a filter which removes the toxins from your system".

This is true, the liver is a filter... But... were our bodies really meant to cope with the absorption of increasing amounts of potential toxins?

Everything from environmental pollution, the food you eat and drink, poor diet choices, smoking, drinking, toxic cleaning products, microwaves, burnt meat, oxidation of oils, farm spays on our lovely fruit and vegetables... the list can be overwhelming. In fact, if you could peek inside your body, you’d find a range of different toxins from heavy metals, pesticides, plastic particles, and dozens of other residues of modern life. Add to this, your everyday stress and the result is a body struggling to cope with its everyday functions.

Some physical and mental signs of an over burdened body are:

  • bloating

  • constipation

  • poor skin

  • allergies

  • brain fog

  • inability to stay focused

  • tired

  • uncomfortable stomach, gas & wind... the list is endless.

The time has come to fight back from symptoms such as potential disease, constant fatigue,  premature ageing and instead claim back your life. So take that first step towards increasing your energy, feel and look great once again by starting a full detox program with urBodi Detox Clinic combining nutritional advice and colonic hydrotherapy. We offer you specific detox programs designed around your price and time available.

Purifying your life won’t happen overnight, but if you begin today you’ll definitely be a little healthier and feeling full of vitality and vigour sooner than you think.

Coffee Enemas & Probiotic Infusion (Enema)

Now available in our clinic, we are leading the way in Perth by offering these new services. Over the years I have been asked more times then I can mention about enemas…. What’s the difference between a colonic and an enema? Why do them instead of a colonic or add them into a colonic? Why add coffee, Why add bacteria? quite a few questions here and I will try and answer them all!! And not everyone wants to do a DIY an enema at home or maybe you don’t have the kit or maybe you are nervous about doing one for the first time. So by selecting this option you can choose to have a coffee or probiotic enema given to you in a safe, clinical environment by a qualified hydrotherapist.

So lets answer some of these frequently asked questions.

  • Whats the difference between a colonic and an infusion (enema) A colonic is hydrating the whole colon, so great for emptying, hydrating and cleansing the body, removing the colon of pathagens (bad bacteria), removal of parasites etc. See above for more information about colonics. The Infusion (Enema) is a very gentle treatment, using gravity and only around 500ml-1ltr of organic medium roasted coffee or a broad spectrum probiotic and this only goes into the sigmoid area.

  • How do I choose an infusion (enema) instead of a colonic or add it into my colonic appointment?…..You can either have a coffee enema during or after your colonic, or as a stand alone 30min treatment. Coffee is used to stimulate the liver in releasing bile (which contains your toxins) A compound in coffee called palmitate is said to stimulate the activity of an enzyme called glutathione S-transferase, which opens up the bile duct from the liver to break down food components and improve digestion. So this is a great option for people that feel they are not digesting well, toxic or constipated and want a deeper cleanse. By adding coffee during your colonic you are combining a full colon cleanse and liver stimulation. An all round winner!!!

  • Probiotic Retention Infusion (enema) The probiotic infusion is a restorative measure and are given after a colonic or as a stand alone treatment. Infusing the just the sigmoid with cold distilled/filtered water and broad spectrum probiotics, helps to re-inoculate your bowel with healthy bacteria. So we hope this treatment will support your immune system, improve general gut health and hopefully deliver more diverse strains of healthy bacteria to your colon.

1 cup Split Peas sliced in half

2 Spring onions chopped

1 tablespoon Ginger grated

1 clove of garlic pressed

mint leaves chopped fine or coriander your preference

1 tablespoon soy sauce (gluten free)

1 tbsp Cacao (i use Eco)

4 dates

1/4 cup of maple syrup

1/4 cup of coconut oil/butter melted

1/2 cup almond butter

Blend until smooth, then carefully spread over the base mixture.

Place in the freezer until your ready to eat it ( 30mins if in a hurry!!!)

Dish it up with some homemade  ice cream or greek yoghurt!!! yum yum yum....

Homemade Twix Bars

I love this little treat, but warn you now, make sure you have a bit of time. I took 1 hour!!!

Great as a gift or treat that's kept in the freezer or a school lunch box snack.

1 & 1/4 cup GF crispy rice cereal (I use Nature’s Path)

1/4 cup maple syrup

2 tbsp peanut butter*

1/1 tsp pure vanilla extract

pinch of fine grain sea salt

200-210 grams pitted soft Medjool dates (about 1 & 1/4 cup pitted dates)

1 tbsp peanut butter*

1 tbsp almond milk, or more if needed

pinch of fine grain sea salt

1/2 cup dark chocolate bar
1 tsp coconut oil (optional)

1. Line an 8-inch pan with two pieces of parchment paper. In a small pot, add the brown rice syrup, peanut butter, and vanilla. Increase heat to medium and bring to a simmer, stirring frequently until combined. Add pinch of salt. Pour into a large bowl with rice crisp and stir well.

2. Scoop the rice crisp mixture into pan. Wet hands slightly and then spread the mixture evenly and press down firmly until smooth. Place in freezer while you make the date caramel.

3. Soak dates in water until soft (only if necessary) and drain. Place pitted dates, peanut butter, milk, and salt in the food processor and process until almost smooth and a big ball forms.

4. Spread caramel layer over top of the crust until it’s as smooth and even as you can get it. Place back in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to set.

5. Melt the chocolate and optional coconut oil in a small pot over low heat. When 2/3 of the chips are melted, remove from heat and stir until smooth. Spread chocolate on top of the caramel and place in the freezer for about 3 minutes only.

6. Remove from freezer (chocolate should be slightly firm, but not completely set) and slice into rows and then in half. Freeze again until set for about 10 minutes. Store in fridge or freezer.

1) The maple syrup can probably be subbed for honey (if you include honey in your diet). Agave won’t hold together as well since it’s not as “tacky”, but it will hold together when kept in the freezer. It will fall apart at room temperature though.

2) You can sub peanut butter for sunflower seed butter as a nut-free option.
