WHAT IS A COLONIC AND WHY DO WE NEED TO HAVE ONE?
Colonic Hydrotherapy is like having an internal bath using filtered water for the entire large intestine, through a tube placed in the rectum. This cannula is two-way, so water enters a channel (irrigation tube), and leaves fecal matter several times during the session on the other (exhaust duct), without going to the bathroom. Pressure, temperature and flow rate are regulated by an electronic device controlled by the managed therapist throughout the session

WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE TREATMENT?
When you arrive for your first appointment we will go over your health screen, where we will assess your health issues and look for any contra-indication. We will then discuss your aims and reasons for having the procedure then decide upon your action plan and how we can get the best results for you.
Once you have changed into your gown, we will commence with the colonic treatment. The colonic itself will take anywhere from 30-45mins.
During your colonic the therapist might perform abdominal massage, this is applied throughout the colonic treatment depending on the clients health conditions. This action will help you in releasing and unbinding the recent and older stagnant waste matter from the colon wall.
Filtered water is introduced intermittently from our machine in small amounts hydrating whilst loosening impacted faecal waste matter, through a specifically designed disposable speculum which comes pre-packed with two tubes in aiding the elimination process of toxins, gas blockages and un digestive food.type of colonic
WHAT TYPE OF COLONIC IS IT?
The HAB Herrmann is a state of the art colon hydrotherapy device. It will cleanse the entire colon using filtered water and without the use of drugs or chemicals. The device is a "closed pressure system" which affords a comfortable gentle procedure while maintaining the dignity of the patient. There is no open evacuation and no offensive odor’s. My treatments are very gentle, I fill at a very very low pressure, lower than a gravity fill!! so don’t be put off.
DOES THE THERAPIST STAY IN THE ROOM?
The therapist will stay in the room and perform the colonic treatment on you for effectiveness, comfort and most importantly, safety. There is no smell or touch of faecal matter as the substances travel through a closed colonic machine which the therapist and the client can assess if there are any parasites, dehydration, undigested food or candida.
HOW LONG DOES THE TREATMENT TAKE?
Allow 1 hour for your appointment. During this time we will go over your health issues and create a treatment plan that is right for you along with the actual selected treatment. Every treatment is intuitively controlled along with your input. Each colonic can be as long or as short as you want. 20mins-40mins on the machine….

Is colon hydrotherapy safe?
The colon hydrotherapy machines are safe, we do not allow the pressure to be in the large intestine any greater than 150 millibars. That is, a pressure much lower than the autogenous pressure of defecation.
Can I have colon hydrotherapy during the period?
The treatment does not interfere with your period, and can go ahead. But if you usually have mensuration cramps then the colonic may not be the most comfortable at that time and we are more than happy to reschedule your session.
Is there any risk of viral or bacterial contamination using the device?
No risk. A single Colon Hydrotherapy disposable pack is opened in the presence of the patient before treatment and at the end they are disposed of. In addition, the device is disinfected after each session.
Is it painful?
Colon hydrotherapy is not painful. Neither is the entrance of the cannula into the rectum through the anus, which in most people is what worries. The cannula is less than 20 millimeters thick. Feces, which are normally expelled in the bathroom, larger than 4 centimeters.
Most people relax during the session and really enjoy the intestinal cleansing colon hydrotherapy.
Are there any side effects?
Colon hydrotherapy has no side effects, do not forget that no matter how sophisticated the technique, it is only cleaned with purified and filtered water.

CAN I CARRY ON WITH MY NORMAL DAILY ROUTINE AFTER THE TREATMENT?
Each client will feel different after their first treatment. Most clients leave the clinic feeling comfortable, light, empty, energized and happy to carry on with their daily routine. The effects of a colonic will vary each time and occasionally some clients can feel the need to rest afterwards, whilst their body works hard to re-balance at its reduced toxic load.
